Community Church History
Brothers, Curtis and James Jacobson founded the Spirit-filled ministry in the
fall of 1983.

The ministry first named, Jesus is King Ministries, was later renamed Community
Church. Several additions to the church building have been completed to
accommodate a growing congregation as well as ministry to Thief River Falls
and Northwestern Minnesota. A community childcare center, a satellite
school for home-schoolers, and a Bible college operate within the church. The
non-denominational church is involved in a wide variety of evangelistic and mission
outreaches, including established world wide ministries.  Entering the ministry's 25 year, the church is pastored by Pastor Curtis and Sandra Jacobson.  Pastor James Jacobson and his wife Mary and son Caleb currently pastor a plant church started in 2004 in Zapata, Texas called Zapata Community Church.
